The mission of the Swannanoa Valley Fine Arts League is to inspire artistic growth and excellence among artists through education and exhibition. The League holds monthly member meetings to introduce new programs, discuss ideas and to demonstrate art techniques by various artists.

Our annual summer member’s fine arts exhibition is open to all members of the League, whatever their level of attainment. Awards are made by a non-member judge.  Other fine arts exhibitions, both juried and non-juried are held throughout the year.

Red House at the Monte Vista Hotel features the ongoing show highlighting 3 of 8 exhibiting artists... With music and dinner.
March 7, 2014. 6 - 8 PM

Come enjoy a lovely evening of cocktails, conviviality, art and dinner... All set to the music of Randall Hale . Here we highlight 3 of the 8 artists being featured in the hotel show.

The engaging oil paintings of
Alice Constantine inform us of life in Costa Rica where she lived and painted for 10 years. She traveled extensively and brings us two marvelous sailing paintings from South Africa depicting the unbelievably gigantic setting sun.

Anne Bevan brings us a vision of truth found in nature...exquisitely contained in a moment of our existence. She paints our lovely mountain surroundings that have been here long before us and shall remain long after us for all generations. She calls it a moment in time captured as she sees it and paints it on large canvases.

Wood turner David Kaylor finds unusual highlights in pieces of wood and specializes in bowls, hollow vessels and art objects. He concentrates on simple forms that reveal the natural beauty and character of wood.

A wonderful gathering will be made more fun with you joining us!

Come and enjoy these works of Art.
